Two Day Program with Hands on Training
Brighton Area Fire Department will be hosting a School Bus Rescue Training Program on October 21, 2009 and October 24, 2009 taught by area experts from START.
A two day 13 hour instructional and hands on training program which addresses basic school bus construction, rapid triage of patients, basic IMS appropriate for a school bus incident, stabilization, access/egress, disentanglement, displacement and lifting.
Applicants MUST have experience and training in safely operating hydraulic rescue tools, reciprocating saws, air chisels, air lifting bags, as well as proper cribbing and stabilization techniques. This is not a basic extrication program.
Instructional Hours: 3 – Two sessions available (only need to attend one)
- Wednesday October 21, 2009 from 0900 to 1200 or
- Wednesday October 21, 2009 from 1900 to 2200
Practical Hours: 10
- Saturday October 24, 2009 from 0800 to 1800
There are only 40 seats available, so please reserve early.
