Regional Alliance for Firefighter Training to Host Program June 18-20, 2010

Positive Pressure Attack

Train-the-Trainer 3-Day Course

The 24-hour training includes review of the concept of PPA, including how to maximize its effectiveness for fire ground ventilation. Training will include live burns following National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1403 standards and the correct protocol for safe application of PPA aimed at meeting the diverse skill sets that firefighting requires. This application facilitates a safer fire attack and gives trapped occupants the highest probability to survive a fire event.

The Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs have annoucned the details for the winter workshop. The program includes two days of action packed training and networking. Training includes hydrogen, solar energy, EMAC, and many other classes on hazardous materials.
