The City of Midland, MI (41,860 population) a full-service municipality in mid-Michigan seeks broadly-experienced Fire Executive to lead 46 career personnel, 3 station, $7M budget Department in service to a vibrant, growing community with significant multi-university, business/commercial, public buildings and residential exposure.
There is specific exposure, as the home of The Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning Corporation, to chemical hazard emergencies. Appointed by professional Manager; active member of City’s top management team and advocate for progressive fire service organization expected.
Strong leadership, management, communications, labor relations/collective bargaining and interpersonal skills with degree(s) or equivalent experience required.
Salary range $88,500 – $104,100, negotiable, DOQE.
