The Strategy and Tactics of Administration
Through interactive modules attendees will learn from, and share in the experiences of many Fire Chiefs. Some of the topics covered in this lecture/discussion format include; Purchasing, Budgeting, Planning, SOPs, Fire Organizations, Insurance/I.S.O., Laws/Liability, Leadership, Ethics, Media, MIOSHA., Mutual Aid, Personnel, Reporting, and Training.
“Fire Chief 101” is a course designed to assist current or potential Fire Chiefs in managing today’s modern fire service. This program is endorsed by the Michigan Fire Chiefs Association. Who should attend? The course is for new chiefs, progressive chiefs, staff officers, “fast track” firefighters, elected officials and Fire Board members. The course was developed by Fire Chiefs, for current and prospective Fire Chiefs. Participants will be supplied with an access code and membership to an on-line data base and forum for networking with FC 101 graduates around the State.
