2 Fires Overnight in the Upper Peninsula
Gwinn firefighters battled a house fire this morning. Central Dispatch was contacted at 1:30 am by the occupant. The occupant had working smoke alarms which allowed the occupants to escape the fire.
The second fire occured in a home located in Iron Mountain. The home was not protected with residential sprinklers, although it was divided into two apartments. The early morning fire caused extensive damage to the home. Firefighters from West Iron County fire department responded to the incident.
