Personnel Recruiting and Retention
The Western Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs presents a one day seminar on personnel recruiting and retention by Fire Chief John Buckman III. The seminar will discuss the challenges facing combination staffed fire departments and the communities they protect.
Seminar topics will be:

- Leadership
- Leader’s inner circle
- Team Building
- Training of Staff
This habit changing seminar will equip you to make the changes necessary to becoming the leader you have always aspired to be and apply the lessons learned.

- Saturday April 18, 2009
- Registration 8:15-9:00 am, program starts at 9am and runs till 4:00 pm
- Cost is $40.00 per person and lunch is on your own
- Location: The Radission Center in Downtown Kalamazoo

What is the date of this class April 1st is a Wednesday I believe.

I have had a couple of questions concerning sending checks. Pre-payment can be mailed to Scott Hopkins at 124 North Nottawa in Sturgis Michigan 49091. Checks should be made payable to WMAFC, and please include the name(s) of the people that are covered by the payment. I think this will be a great seminar. Hope to see a lot of you there / Scott
todays date is 3/12/2009. Is Class booked up? or can i still sign up.
The class is NOT full at this time, and we welcome as many participants as possible. I have talked with the facility and if we overbook they will move us to a larger room. To do this I have to have all rsvp’s no later than April 10 to make those arrangements.
