Two Large Fires Keep Northern FireFighters busy

There are two large fires burning in the UP that have kept the Michigan DNR and local fire firefighters busy.  The first fire is in Baraga County and is know as the Pinery Lake Fire.  This fire is at least 480 acres and over 60 firefighters have responed.

The second fire is know as the Black River  Falls fire which has consumed 660 acres and over 33 structures.

The threat is still high this weekend, but the fires seem to be contained.
